The IFox9 browser Skill
Install the managed browser instructions where supported, and understand what they do—and do not—authorize.

MCP exposes executable browser tools. A Skill is a set of instructions the AI client can load to use those tools consistently. Installing a Skill does not install the MCP server, supply a model, or grant unconditional approval for actions.
Installation and supported clients
Use the client configuration action in AI Assistant (API & MCP in earlier builds); IFox9 installs its bundled Skill for supported adapters and displays its status. Codex, Cursor, and DeepSeek Harness use .agents/skills/ifox9-browser/SKILL.md; Claude Code uses .claude/skills/ifox9-browser/SKILL.md; Hermes uses .hermes/skills/ifox9-browser/SKILL.md, under the user directory.
A file at the target path that is not an IFox9-managed Skill is protected from replacement. Review a conflict yourself; do not delete a custom Skill just to make setup pass.
What the instructions cover
- Choose the exact profile and tab rather than assuming the first one is correct.
- Use fresh snapshots and matching session IDs.
- Ask before separate consequential actions unless already authorized.
- Leave CAPTCHA and device approval to the user.
- Release control at the end without closing a profile unnecessarily.
These are instructions for model behavior, not a technical guarantee that every AI client will comply. Review important operations and limit the data available to the chosen profile.
Human docs and model instructions
This website explains setup for people. The desktop app ships the version-matched SKILL.md for supported AI clients. Use the bundled copy rather than creating a second, potentially conflicting copy from this webpage. To verify installation, check the Skill status and ask the client to use IFox9 for the read-only quickstart.
