AI client compatibility

Check which clients IFox9 can configure and where its managed Skill can be installed.

Supported integration paths

The table describes adapters shipped with IFox9 0.0.3, not a guarantee for every future third-party client version. Automatic configuration requires a supported installation to be detected. “Skill: —” means IFox9 does not automatically install its Skill for that adapter; it does not describe every capability of the third-party product.

Configure and verify

  1. Install and open the client at least once.
  2. Keep IFox9 running and open AI Assistant (API & MCP in earlier builds).
  3. Use the configure action for that client. Review the displayed configuration and Skill status.
  4. Restart the AI client, allow the server if prompted, and test check_connection.

Do not copy another computer’s executable path or private token into your configuration. Let the installed app generate the local connection details.

WorkBuddy and Doubao Work

WorkBuddy uses the user-level .workbuddy/mcp.json configuration. IFox9 preserves unrelated servers. Doubao Work uses Skills → Connectors → Add connector; follow the guide shown by IFox9 and confirm inside Doubao Work. It is not an automatic config-file installation.

Disconnect or undo setup

Use the remove action for the chosen client in IFox9 when available. Remove the Doubao Work connector inside Doubao Work. To restore a configuration backup manually, first close the client and compare the backup with current settings so newer unrelated changes are not overwritten. Restart the client after changes.
